The 1920's art deco green Peking and yellow Vaseline glass floor lamp is outstandingly exquisite, showcasing this original and exclusive hand painted tigre` set in a tropical background. The shade is very commanding with metallic bronze braid and large finial which flows down to the knotted double rowed fringe that is hand dyed from bronze to black with the background fringe being green to accentuate the shade colors as does the double beaded multi-colored tassel. The lamp base is reed column underneath the shade which flows into the tulip break before flowing into the yellow round Vaseline glass alternating with the green octagon Peking glass. The base sets raised and footed with squared Peking glass in green. This shade was made to honor the King of the Beast or for any lover of tigres`. Height is 60".
(minute scratches in glass base due to fragility and age, however, this does not diminish from the beauty of the piece itself).
